Ayanfe Olarinde is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist who uses painting as a form of unclogging her thoughts. She creates multimedia artistry and she is also self-taught. Ayanfe’s love for art sprouted from her explorations in scribbling. She currently has a solo exhibition at African Artists Foundation Lagos (AAF Lagos) titled “Now I Know Why Birds Fly” curated by Princess Ayoola.

“Now I Know Why Birds Fly” is a journal of recollections painted with the surreal signature motif of the artist’s mind trying to make tangible the mental and visceral taste of life fleeting in time as it moves from one moment to the next.
