Thebe Magugu is a Johannesburg-based designer and founder of a self-titled contemporary luxury fashion brand and founder of Faculty Press; an annual yearbook Thebe publishes with friends. Thebe Magugu, the fashion brand offers ready-to-wear collections while exploring parallel concepts through multidisciplinary capsule projects. Wanda Lephotho on the other hand is another Johannesburg-based designer, creative director and also the founder of his self-titled contemporary fashion brand. Magugu and Lephoto are collaborating as part of the Magugu [MICRO]laborations, which in uncomplicated terms is an annual series titled, ‘PROJECT 16.1.C.’ The first guest is Lephoto of course and Bubblegumclub is throwing them a launch party in celebration of the collaboration and the “Everyday Resistance” t-shirts which are going to be available at the event. The location will only be revealed to the guests who successfully registered for a ticket. There’s a stellar lineup that includes; DBN Gogo, Xzavier, Wanda Lephoto, Mariam McCloy and Tinuke.
